“Coffee and Cycles’ opened in Bengalore

On 4th – Oct, 2011, Track and Trail has launched “Coffee and Cycles” in Bangalore. It is first such cycling cafĂ© where customer can buy all major international brands cycles and also create a forum where cycling enthusiastic can meet, discuss and share their view on cycling, its benefits also can organized cycling trip. Along with this, cycling enthusiasts will come to know about upcoming cyclothones in the city, different rides organized by different cycling group, information about new trends. It was inaugurated by famous international mountain biking legend, Hans Ray.
It is located in No.4, 5th Main Road, KR Garden, (Opposite to NGV Indoor Stadium), Koramangala, Bangalore.
“Coffee and Cycles” will have wide range of all international brands like Firefox, Mongoose, Schwinn, Bianchi. It will also have wide range of different accessories required for cycling.

ATCAG – Initiative to increase awareness of non-motorized transport

On 20th Oct, 2011, bangalorian’s much awaited Namma Metro’s first reach from Byppanhalli to M.G. Road is getting lunch. Just Two days ahead of the launch, Bangalore will have a bicycle-sharing project near its MG Road station.

Kerberon Automations, in association with BBMP and the directorate of urban land transport (DULT ),will lunch the project “ATCAG" at the War Memorial near Brigade Road junction on Tuesday morning.

ATCAG, will be implemented on a trial basis at three places War Memorial, near Public Utility Building (Shankar Nag Theatre) and Bible Society of India in the Central Business District. BBMP has provided the space, while DULT is promoting non-motorized transport (NMT).

As per the information given by Basavaraj Kabade (BBMP executive engineer – traffic cell), it will trial at three places in CBD. More places will be identified at 500-meters intervals to increase awareness about non-motorized transport.

Kerberon Automations will install three docking stations, each of which can have six bicycles. To start with, it will have only three bicycles in each to accommodate others bicycles which come to be parked there. In the first three months, three batches of 100 persons each can use the docking stations. Full services will be offered once trial is over.

To avail of this, people need to become members. They will be issued smart cards, which can be use to pick up cycles from docking stations to use them for one hour. High-end unisex bicycles, along with helmets and locks, will be provided. The plan is to install docking stations in Jayanagar, JP Nagar, Electronics City and Mahalakshmi Layout, the aim being to connect areas so commuters don't leave carbon footprints.

It will be eco friendly option for the Metro user to travel near to Metro station.
