Benefits of Cycling:

Now a day in modern life style, cases of heart disease, joint problem and heavy weights are increasing rapidly. I am listing down here, some of benefits of cycling which help to overcome above problems.

1)      Cycling is a very good exercise for heart. Daily half an hour cycling will reduce the possibility of getting heart related diseases.
2)      Cycling strengthens thighs and calves muscles.
3)      It reduces additional fat/cholesterol from the stomach area. You can burn up to 750 calories in an hour by cycling.
4)      Cycling is very good for high blood pressure patient. It will help to reduce blood pressure.
5)      Cycling is very good exercise to build up your stamina.
6)      It saves your Vitamin M (money). Only one time expense of buying cycle. If you are using any motor bike, with current rate of petrol, it will cost ~1.5 Rs per KM (Few moped bike costs ~2 Rs per KM). If you use cycle daily of average 15 KM, you can save 675 Rs monthly expense on your petrol.

Additional to health and wealth benefits, cycling have multiples of indirect benefits for our environment.

1)      As we all know about “Green House Effect”, due to pollution hit is increasing on the earth, ice on the pole is melting down, water level of the sea increasing. Pollution created by burning petrol/diesel also one of the reasons for it. Use of cycle in our day to day routine, we can reduce pollution.
2)      All major cities have “Traffic” as very big problem. Use cycle to work will ease the traffic situation.
